Still you lay
after this long hard day
hoping that the ground you feel
the cold concrete not really real
before the sun
you will have your fun
another chance to disappear
to a place so far away from here
I need you and you need me for the meantime
Your look betrays
your words in disarray
coming from an unknown source that leaves no bearing on you of course
your simple lies, your big brown eyes
a face that looks no longer real, inside a picture so surreal
I need you and you need me for the meantime
so you can you live in your fantasy well you will see its all an illusion
day is done, you have had your fun
the illusionary medicine holding up your foolish grin
with you I lie beneath the open sky
searching for ways to somehow keep you from this place
I need you, you need me for the meantime
(background) who is buying who is trying to discover in another
who is crying who is dying now
This was not what I expected! I thought this was a pop group (first time hearing this band) but I had to eat my hat because my assumption was so wrong. If you are a fan if complex piano layers, check this out! Also, the bassist and drummer are insane in here. I choked hearing one of the riffs it was that good! nvan92
