Feasting aside the hope and pride you flaunted
Buried away from what you say you wanted
Digging for the thing you know its somewhere
Existing inside that you’re trying to find unwillingly
Sleeping away the night and day believing
that some other thing had tied the string restricting
dreaming while it quickly pulls you forward
to a whole other place where not a single face you’re believing
But I will track you down
Because I know you still can see just what I’ll become
Fortune leading what you’re seeing solely
To where you’re grandly so left standing coldly
there you’re left to count the invitations
though you hope and pray you’ll never have to stay unwillingly
But I will track you down
Because I know you still can see just what I’ll become
Staring in a crowded room of choices failing to
See the face that leaves the trace of someone I once knew
Furnishing thoughts the answers you brought to existence
That seems so inferior when they meet exterior resistance
Floating through all intimidation
to a whole other side of your stupid pride you’re revealing
But I will track you down because I know you’re still around
I will track you down because I know you still can see just what I’ll become
This was not what I expected! I thought this was a pop group (first time hearing this band) but I had to eat my hat because my assumption was so wrong. If you are a fan if complex piano layers, check this out! Also, the bassist and drummer are insane in here. I choked hearing one of the riffs it was that good! nvan92
